Software developers create the engines that drive our systematic real-time software tools and build
and operate our technology ventures. They solve challenging technical problems in a variety of areas including
intelligent trading agent design, analysis of enormous data sets, high-throughput distributed systems and simulation
and optimization of real-world processes. We strongly emphasize personal ownership of projects, and new hires are
given substantial responsibility from their first day on the job.
We look for graduates in Computer Science from top-tier universities and schools. Successful candidates
are excellent software architects and programmers with a sound understanding of low level languages, programming paradigms,

preferably in a self-directed setting. Good creativity, mathematical ability, and a passion for new technologies are a
decided advantage.
Quantitative Analysts apply mathematical techniques and write software to develop and analyze statistical
models for our computerized services. Specific responsibilities range from examining large dataset in an effort to
increase profitability, decrease risk, and reduce transaction costs to conceiving new ideas and devising the
simulations needed to test them. Successful quant candidates are traditionally passionate both by their respective
math, physics, engineering, and computer science disciplines and their application in the financial, retail,
e-commerce markets.
